Icarus is a session-based PvE survival game for up to eight co-op players or solo. The player is invited to explore a savage alien wilderness in the aftermath of terraforming gone wrong, where they must survive long enough to mine exotic matter, then return to orbit to craft more advanced tech.
I supported the NZ-based Rocketwerkz as a remote contractor in the role of Senior Game Designer leading up to their launch with various design tasks. In addition to contributing to regular playtests and giving overall design feedback, I used Blueprints to prototype and build:

Icarus initially dropped on Steam in December 2021, and has since gone on to attain mostly positive user review status on Steam.
In the recent Steam Winter Sale (Dec 2025 - Jan 2026), Icarus sold an additional 984k copies, and achieved a new local peak CCU of 44k.
